Project Information

New Zealand startup, NexDo, is the Uber-style app for home services. NexDo provide a complete suite of home cleaning services, pre-qualified, pre-quoted, pre-agreed, done to your standards, on your schedule, all at the touch of a button.

The interface with the brand is primarily through its mobile and web app, an experience that needed to engage people of all ages and demographics. The challenge was to create a brand system that could live in the app experience and beyond into other communications that felt accessible, fun and easy, avoiding boring images of actual cleaning, or possible cultural and gender stereotypes. It required a system tuned for social media, static and animated applications.

The logo is an evolution of their existing logo, to fit into the new brand system (The “o” is the door handle on the yellow front door). The logo is brought to life with a “clean wipe” animation, and squeaky-clean sound effects, with an uplifting, bouncy musical score for animated social videos.

The solution for the brand system was a unique, humorous copy and illustration/animation style, delivered with a positive, fresh, “clean” colour palette. This approach allows us to make fun of how far NexDo will go to ensure you get the best possible service, or the weird and wacky things customers want cleaned. Importantly, it’s an affordable system that can scale large or small across touchpoints as the brand grows – critical for a startup brand system.

Web and app applications interfaces are designed with simplicity in mind, using the simple animated illustrations to make the selection and purchase process entertaining and memorable.
